One hundred year old Sacred Heart Church in downtown Peoria recently underwent remodeling with Specialty Wood Works creating new wooden church doors, custom interior and exterior window frames, parquet flooring and wood columns. We also took apart and rebuilt the original wood pews and refinished all of the salvagable millwork.
The custom church window frame shown above was created by the computer controlled CNC router and is a reproduction of the original. The design is known as a "rose" window.
Before and after refinishing the 100 plus year old pews; all had to be done by hand.
The custom church flooring is a parquet of red oak octagons and contrasting black walnut squares.
These pictures show a custom church window frame before and after recieving the stained glass. The window is 21 feet tall and 4 feet wide.
