Company Policies

Many products are in stock in both Red Oak and Poplar (our standard offerings). However, we can make any profile in any species such as: Ash, Hickory, White Oak, Walnut, Hard & Soft White & Brown Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, Cedar, Knotty Pine, Clear White Pine and MDF (medium density fiberboard) as well as exotic hardwoods species. There are additional set-up fees and minimum order quantities required if an item is not in stock and for all off-species profiles. Additional fees are: $60.00 for runs of 300' to 499'; $75.00 for runs of 100' to 299'; and $100 for runs of less than 100'. For 16' lengths add 25% to the total amount, while specified lengths under 16' lengths add 15%.
There are exceptions regarding the availability of alternate species for certain products such as a bar rail. Bar rails can be ordered without additional set-up fees or minimum quantity requirements. Alternate species may add additional lead time to your order depending on availability of materials.
Situations often arise where stock moldings are unsuitable for a particular project. We have the ability to reproduce any moldings based on an existing sample or architectural drawings in any hardwood or softwood species. You no longer have to make the project fit the product. You can add to existing moldings and reduce project cost and improve your completion time, or design your own profile for that special project. We machine our own knives and can archive them for you if you want exclusivity on a profile you designed. Any profile you can conceive of we can produce. You are only limited by your imagination. Additional lead times will be required depending on the availability of materials. Prices will be quoted on a case by case basis and will be valid for 30 days.
Specialty Wood Works of Peoria, Inc. can also produce any of our moldings in AZEK® (the perfect outdoor product) a cellular PVC material with the look, feel and sound of clear lumber. This durable product will not rot, split, cup, warp or twist. It is impervious to moisture and insects, making it perfect for ground contact applications. You can cut, rout and mill it with any standard woodworking tools. You can fasten it with nails, screws, staples or glue. Available primed or unprimed.

TERMS:
Terms are Net 30th day from date of invoice pending approval of credit account, unless specified otherwise. Otherwise payment in full due prior to shipping. Accounts reaching 60 days from date of invoice are subject to a late payment charge equal to 1% past due balance per month and will be put on credit hold and not ship until the account becomes current. Within a 60 mile radius: Orders under 500 L.F. $35.00 delivery charge

Orders over 1000 L.F. $100.00 delivery charge
FedEx/UPS:
Minimum shipping charges will be: $10.00.
Our shipping fees are based on destination, total value and weight of your order.
Express delivery is available; be forewarned, express delivery charges are significant.
Any product over 8 L.F. will be shipped common carrier.
SPECIFIED LENGTHS:
Oak and Poplar:
15% up-charge for 6-15 foot lengths
25% up-charge for 16 foot lengths (subject to availability)
Customers will only be charged for actual footage on specified orders but may receive a combination of lengths to fill an order.
CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS:
No merchandise shall be returned without an R.A. (return authorization) issued by a Specialty Wood Works of Peoria, Inc. representative. Products found to be defective will be exchanged or credited to the customer's account. Custom and non-stock items are NOT subject to return or cancellation if purchasing, production or shipment has been initiated. Returns for small shipping overages are not allowed. Stock items approved for return will carry a 30% restock charge. Jobsite overages are not returnable. MDF is not returnable.
Stock items are returnable if they have not been:
1. Marked with any type of marker or sticker on the front or back.
2. Cut or modified in any way.
3. Exposed to excessive moisture or outside elements.
4. Splattered with drywall mud, stained, painted or exposed to any other jobsite neglect.
Once an order has been pulled from stock and or packaged for shipment, a restock charge will be applied if cancelled. Returns are limited to merchandise purchased within 60 days of invoice.
MATERAL INSPECTION:
All materials must be inspected within 24 hours of receipt of shipment. If you did not receive the material or if your shipment was incorrect, Specialty Wood Works of Peoria, Inc. must be notified immediately. Claims for damage during delivery must be called in to a Specialty Wood Works of Peoria, Inc. representative immediately at the time of receipt.

SHIPPING TERMS & RETURN POLICY
Shipping
We will ship all in stock orders within five business days of receipt of your payment. You may pay by credit card, money order or cashiers check. Your order will ship via ground transportation unless otherwise specified. You should expect a transit time of approximately 2 to 10 business days from the ship date. We do not ship to P.O. boxes or accept leave at the door instructions for orders of $75.00 or more. Minimum shipping charges will be: $10.00. Our shipping fees are based on destination, total value and weight of your order. Any product over 8 L.F. will be shipped common carrier.
Shipping Options
All shipments within the Continental U.S. will ship via UPS Ground or common carrier. Other shipping methods are available and will incur additional charges which will be added to your final invoice. Please inquire for destinations outside of the Continental U.S. We will contact you by phone or e-mail when your order has shipped.
Express Delivery
Express delivery is available; please be advised, express delivery charges can be significant. If you would like to receive your order sooner than our standard lead times please contact us after you have placed your order and we will advise you of the additional cost.
Signature upon Delivery
We require a receipt acknowledgement signature for all orders totaling $75.00 or more. We do not ship to P.O. boxes or accept leave at the door instructions for orders of $75.00 or more.
Shipping Damage
It is the responsibility of the recipient to inspect goods received immediately upon receipt for any possible damage. If any goods were damaged during shipment, please contact us immediately and we will initiate a freight claim on your behalf. Shipping damage claims made more than 7 days after receipt of you order, will be denied.
Return Policy
You may return goods ordered online within 30 days of receipt, subject to the following terms & conditions.
1. You must first contact us to obtain a return authorization.
2. You must ship goods back to us properly packed so that they arrive undamaged and in resalable condition.
3. You must ship items being returned freight prepaid. We do not accept freight collect shipments.
4. A 25% restocking fee will apply. You will receive a refund for 75% of the value of the goods you return upon receipt at our facility, provided the material is in good condition. Shipping fees are not refundable.
5. Specialty items may not be returned.
Purchaser Agreement
Purchaser agrees to pay any interest due to late payment, as well as any and all costs associated with the collection of a debt, including, but not limited to, attorney fees.
